Steady work continues to bring internet to county residents.
An additional 218 address points have been completed and released by Charter Spectrum. This brings the total to 2,335 addresses now eligible for Broadband through the Connect Rockingham grant. By the beginning of December, we anticipate five more areas to be completed. The phase is still on track to be completed in January 2024 by adding access to internet to at least 3,250 address points.
The addresses now eligible for service have been updated in our database and are available for search on our website under the Broadband section. Residents can call Charter Spectrum at 833-267-6094 to subscribe for services.
County staff has also started working with Charter Spectrum representatives to identify address points that were not included in the initial phase of the project. Spectrum and County staff want to continue the momentum from phase one and move directly into phase two to make sure internet is accessible by as many residents and businesses as possible.
