- Plat Certificates for major, minor and exempt plats.
Process for Review of Exempt & Minor Plats
- Email PDF of Preliminary Subdivision to: [email protected] Please include a parent TAX PIN on all submissions. Please clarify if you are officially submitting the plat for review or just inquiring about feasibility
- We will submit comments back to you via phone or email.
- For Exempt Subdivisions: Planning will review revisions, assign addresses for new lots, and notify you to submit a mylar for signature and recording. Review fee is due at the time of signature. We do
not need a paper copy of the plat for our records but are happy to sign
any paper copies for your records.
- For Minor Subdivisions: Submit revised plat via email. Planning will review revisions, assign addresses for new lots and notify you to submit a final mylar for signatures and recording.
- For Major Subdivisions: Planning will schedule a TRC review for major subdivisions. Planning will email TRC comments following the meeting. Submit revisions via e-mail along with verification of improvements. Planning will notify you of addresses for new lots at that time and if you are ready to submit a final mylar for signature and recording.
- For All Subdivision Types: After the mylar is
signed, the runner or surveyor will take it to the Register of Deeds.
Register of Deeds is located in the Justice Center.
There is no separate application form for subdivisions. The Review Fee is due at the time of mylar signature. We do not need paper copies for our records.
Major Subdivision Plats
Major plat certificates required or applicable for major plats are reviewed by our Technical Review committee that has the ability to
meet two times a month. Please contact [email protected] for the submission
of Major Plats for review. A major subdivision is subdivision that
creates 6 or more lots under 10 acres.
