Adult Health Clinic
Rockingham County Health Department provides a medical home to many county residents and welcomes new patients.
Staff provide health education, preventive, and primary medical care to adults with both acute and chronic illnesses like diabetes, elevated blood pressure, and cholesterol. We provide exams for pre-employment, school entry and for parents providing foster care.
Our advance practice providers diagnose, treat, evaluate, write prescriptions, order lab work and make referrals to other medical providers as needed.
The
Physician Extender offers health screenings to clients 18 years and
older. Annual physical examinations and acute care are provided. Some
conditions may require a physician's consultation and/or referral.

Appointments
Call the Health Department and ask to schedule an appointment. If you have been seen by another medical office (including the Emergency Room), it would be helpful to have those records along with a list of any medications you are taking. We request that you bring your insurance information and proof of income to your appointment.
Clinic Hours
The Clinic schedules appointments Monday through Friday, 8 am to 4 pm.
We offer extended hours every Thursday until 7 pm.

Paying for Medical Services
Rockingham County Health Department accepts Medicaid and most insurances.
Please call to see if we accept your insurance type. For those with no insurance, we charge for services according to your income and family size.
Language Assistance
The Health Department employs Spanish interpreters and has access to telephone interpretation services for many other languages.
