Harm Reduction Programs

Harm Reduction Programs Definition:

Harm Reduction Programs are operated by any governmental or non-governmental organization authorized by section 90-113.27 of the North Carolina General Statues that provide syringes, naloxone, or other harm reduction supplies; that dispose of used syringes; that connect clients to prevention, treatment, recovery support, behavioral healthcare, primary healthcare, or other services or supports they need; or that provide any of theses services or supports.

October is National Substance Abuse Prevention Month with October 23rd thru the 31st denoted as Red Ribbon Week.  The theme this year is:

 Life is a Movie. Film Drug Free!
So grab some popcorn, wear your red ribbons and live drug free!!


Also, October 26th is recognized as National Drug Take Back Day. Please take this opportunity to dispose of unused or expired medication that needs to be discarded
