The Rockingham County Library Outreach Bookmobile provides mobile library services and convenient access throughout the county. The bookmobile is on the road up to 4 days a week, making over 20 different stops per month.
- Materials are checked out from the bookmobile at no cost. All you need is a library card! You are invited to register for a library card in person, or online.
- You may place a 'Hold' for an item and select 'Rockingham Outreach' as the pickup location. Receive a text alert when your item is ready and meet the bookmobile at the stop. It doesn't get any more convenient than that!
- Climb onboard to browse our selection and see what catches your eye. Our bookmobile carries DVDs, CDs, games and other items in addition to books.
- The mobile library has iPads and laptops available for checkout. There are 2 desks available for patron use.
- The bookmobile has WiFi available at no charge at our scheduled stops.
- Please let our bookmobile librarian know if there is something special that you are looking for. They are experts at locating material from other locations to meet your needs.
- Books checked out from the bookmobile can be returned to any branch. Likewise, any books checked out from a branch can be returned to the bookmobile.

Outreach Checkout Policies
Outreach materials are generally checked out for about four weeks; or until the next time we return to the stop. There are no late fees charged for Outreach materials. However, fines will be applied if a book is damaged, missing, or never returned. Patrons with outstanding fines of $5.00 or more are not allowed to check out library materials.
