Yes. The vaccine works to protect you against a future infection. You don’t need a COVID-19 test before vaccination. It is safe to get vaccinated with the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine if you have been infected in the past. If you were treated for COVID-19 symptoms with monoclonal antibodies or convalescent plasma, you should wait 90 days before getting a COVID-19 vaccine. The vaccine site has been moved to the Rockingham County Governmental Center. Patients will be observed for 15 minutes for signs of reaction after the injection is given. Include consent information. COVID-19 vaccination are currently only being given on Thursdays from 8:30am to 4:30pm.

Walk-ins welcome, appointments preferred.

Johnson & Johnson vaccinations are available on most Monday's, Tuesday's, and Wednesday's but individuals must call to schedule an appointment.

The Count On Me NC program is focused on providing the necessary knowledge and information needed to manage COVID-19 within businesses as restrictions are relaxed. These free courses provide a consistent approach based on state and national guidelines. The voluntary program is designed to incorporate the best available science in social and physical distancing, employee health and cleaning, sanitizing and disinfection and is presented in an easy format in both English and Spanish. Each of these short training sessions are under 30 minutes and delivered online in an engaging and interactive format. Participating businesses will be recognized on the website CountOnMeNC.org.

No. People who are actively sick with COVID-19 should wait until they have recovered and can no longer spread the virus before getting their vaccine. This guidance also applies to people who get COVID-19 between their first and second dose of a two-dose vaccine. For two-dose vaccines, the second dose can be given up to 6 weeks after the first dose and still be very effective, so do not worry if you have to reschedule your appointment for a later date. Once you have recovered, it is safe to get vaccinated with any COVID-19 vaccine if you have been infected in the past.

Pregnant and breastfeeding women may choose to receive any authorized COVID-19 vaccine. Pregnant women can talk with their doctors before making the choice. You do not need to take a pregnancy test before you get your vaccine. Women who are breastfeeding may also choose to get vaccinated. The vaccine is not thought to be a risk to a baby who is breastfeeding.  Read additional information.

Vaccinations are available for anyone who wishes to receive a safe and effective COVID-19 vaccine.

  The Pfizer vaccine can be given to teenagers aged 12 and older.
  The Moderna vaccine is currently only approved for people 18 and older. The Johnson & Johnson vaccine can be given to teenagers aged 18 and older.
