Highways and Interstates

Major highway and interstate improvements have led to the completion of the two interstates that flank the county; I-73 on the west and I-785 on the east. I-785 opens connections from Rockingham County to I-85 and I-40 as well as the Greensboro urban loop, which is scheduled to be complete Spring 2023. Rockingham County's location and intricate highway and interstate system will leave you perfectly positioned within a days drive of over 2/3 of the U.S. population.

Shiloh Airportlocated in Stoneville, is a county-owned, public-use regional airport, and features a 5,199 foot paved runway. 
Piedmont Triad International Airport in Greensboro, is 20 minutes from Rockingham County.
Charlotte-Douglas International Airport in Charlotte, is 2 hours south west of Rockingham County.  
Raleigh-Durham International Airport in Raleigh/Durham area, is 2 hours east of Rockingham County.
