Promoting Health, Wellness, and Prevention in Rockingham County
Every day in North Carolina, approximately 160 residents die of chronic disease, injury or violence. North Carolina's cardiovascular disease (CVD) prevalence rate place it among the quartile of states with the highest CVD rates in the nation. North Carolina is also in the quartile of states with the highest diabetes rate in the nation. The Health Education Program (special emphasis on Health Promotion) work tirelessly to reduce the statistics for the citizens in Rockingham County.
