Does environmental health permit school buildings?
No, Environmental Health
only conducts sanitation inspections. Public Schools are regulated by
North Carolina Department of Public Education and Private or Religious
Schools are regulated by North Carolina Department of Administration
Division of Non-Public Education.
How often are school buildings inspected by environmental health?
Unannounced inspections are conducted at least once between July and June every fiscal year.
