Rockingham County Youth Services is an agency of county government that provides prevention and intervention programs for school-aged youth and their families. Our mission is to prevent and reduce juvenile delinquency in the county.

Youth Services was started as a Rockingham County Youth Involvement Program by the Board of Commissioners in 1979 for the purpose of meeting the needs of troubled youth in our county.

A variety of programs and continuum of services are offered as identified by our county’s Juvenile Crime Prevention Council. These programs are funded by the NC Department of Public Safety, Rockingham County government and other sources.
