The Public Information Office participates in Community Outreach and engagement both in-person and utilizing technology to communicate with the public.

The Public Information Officer (PIO) shares timely news releases as a spokesperson, photographer, and lead communicator for the county through the following outlets:
Spectrum 1304, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram RCENO/RockinghamUpdate, and "Good News" via County News & Announcements. 

The PIO also facilitates coordination between County Government and print, radio, and tv journalists.
