What is Teen Leadership Council?
The Teen Leadership Council is a program designed to introduce and teach our youth in Rockingham County about the structure of county government. The teens will make up their unique council, where they will collaborate to reach a 2/3rds vote and be able to take action or make decisions. The goal of this process is to build their communication, collaboration skills, and confidence, while simultaneously teaching them about the realities of the council structure of local government. The program will also create more knowledgeable young citizens within an enriching environment.
