Immunizations
Rockingham County Health Department (RCHD) encourages everyone to get vaccinated against all vaccine-preventable diseases. RCHD offers required and recommended vaccines for infants, children, adolescents, and adults. The RCHD maintains and provides access to you and your child’s vaccine record on the North Carolina Immunization Registry. We are able to provide you with a copy of your immunization record if you have lost or misplaced your record.
Appointments
Call the Health Department and ask to schedule an appointment. We request that you bring your insurance information to your appointment.
Clinic Hours
The Clinic schedules appointments Monday through Friday, 8 am to 4 pm.
We offer extended hours on Thursdays until 7 pm.

Paying for Medical Services
Rockingham County Health Department accepts Medicaid and most insurances. Please call to see if we accept your insurance type. For those with no insurance, please call as you may qualify for free vaccine. Children birth through age 18 may qualify for no cost vaccine through the Vaccines for Children (VFC) program, based on eligibility criteria.
Language Assistance
The Health Department employs Spanish interpreters and has access to telephone interpretation services for many other languages.
